Thanksgiving table decoration with DIY moss balls in tin cans

Budget:

• $4 for 6 moss balls
• $2.5 for raffia ribbon wrap
• $4 for floral wires
• $1.95 x 6 for tiny tin cans (not pictured)
• $2 for a square floral sponge

My plan was going for a rustic look with natural elements.  I picked up a bunch of materials from Michael’s Stores to test out my creativity.  I placed red loose moss strands at the bottom of the vases and on the table as base.  Candles are placed inside the vases, and real small pumpkins and squashes, on top of the moss.

Lastly, I created my DIY project.  Each moss ball was attached to the floral wire, which happened to be green.  Then I insert each ball-on-wire piece into each tin.  There is pieces of floral sponge that’s inserted inside of the tiny tins.  Lastly, I cut pieces of ribbons and wrapped them around the moss balls.

matching glasses for the decanter

I thought I was done with any garage sale for a while after the trip to Alameda antique fair.  Nonetheless, it seemed we were destination to get some matching glasses for the decanter that we just purchased.  Check out these glasses… perfect for enjoying a glass of gin & tonic, poured from the decanter.

Love it when I find items from separate sources and they work well together!

I ♥ wall stickers

When I was a little kid, I collected stickers.  Cartoon characters, flowers, Hello Kitty characters (given to me, not by choice), and random varieties that a girl can buy from the zillion book/stationary stores around Taiwan.

Post-Christmas 2007, I discovered the adult version that can be put on the… WALLS!  I was in heaven.  One rule I learned during my kiddie sticker phase was NEVER PUT STICKERS ON THE WALL, or your mom would get very angry.  Wall stickers go against all of that training, and they look pretty
